Volunteer-powered
comms support for groups advancing justice

We’re a network of nonprofit communication professionals who help grassroots groups, campaigns, and small organizations strengthen their digital communications.

Types of projects we support

We take on digital communications projects that help organizers reach their people and deepen their impact.

Our volunteers meet organizations where they are and help move their work forward with care, creativity, and collaboration.

Share your skills. Volunteer with us!

Help justice-focused groups tackle the communications projects they don’t have time or capacity to do alone. It’s meaningful, collaborative, and a great way to put your skills to work for something bigger.

Volunteers often bring nonprofit expertise in areas such as:

  • Generalists: nonprofit digital communications pros who can assess needs, provide guidance, and support across multiple areas
  • Creative: writers, designers, and content specialists
  • Marketing: campaign support, email marketing, messaging and narrative development, fundraising communications
  • Web & Tech: website designers, developers, and platform advisors

About Us

Good Comms Collaborative helps grassroots groups and small nonprofits strengthen their digital communications. We bring people together to share skills, solve problems, and make communications feel doable, not daunting.

We believe communications should be practical and joyful — and that the right support helps people do their work with more ease.

To make that happen, our team connects organizations with experienced volunteer communications professionals and stays involved to keep projects on track. Each project is overseen by an organizer to ensure quality and follow-through.

Who are the organizers?
Good Comms Collaborative is led by Karen Heredia, Laura Quinn, and Paul Sternberg — nonprofit communications professionals with more than 50 years of combined experience. Learn more about us.
